As life in the church and in society changes, how do we continue to lead now and into the future?
B. Insights from a Synod representative to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW)
Olga L. Malave Radi, PW Moderator, Central Florida Presbytery
The CSW is the biggest global policy-making body dedicated exclusively to promoting gender equality and the empowerment of women. Olga will share what she experienced and learned at the Annual Session in March 2025.
C. The Journey of Grief

Are you grieving the death of a loved one, close friend or even a pet? Many of us are enduring losses and are looking for ways to find comfort, knowing that God is with us on the journey. For each person the journey is different. In this workship, you'll learn about what you can expect during the first year and longer after the death of your loved one; you'll be introduced to strategies for contending with the pain and loneliness you may be feeling; and you'll be encouraged to develop a daily practice of reflection with a focus on gratitude.
D. Mission in Kusi, Peru
Barbara Sayles, Hunger Advocate, Central Florida Presbytery
Central Florida Presbytery churches have been involved with the ministry in Kusi for over 25 years, taking mission teams to construct the villages itself, host VBS, Worship services, Bible Studies, soccer camps, etc. Barbara will share the history, ministry and upcoming mission trip in June 2026.
E. Central Florida Presbyteriy Mission with Cuba
Pat Zinn, Ruling Elder, Pineda Presbyterian Church
A brief history of Central Florida’s relationship with El Centro Presbytery in Cuba will be presented. The current situation (5 pastors for 12 churches) and PW groups that are active will be discussed. You will learn what happens on our Partnership trips that happen each year where people from churches in Central Florida churches travel to Cuba. Information will also be provided on how the economic situation in Cuba has changed (badly deteriorated) and what we can do to help.
F. Money, Mission, and Ministry
Dr. Barbara Mathewson, Treasurer, Central Florida Presbytery
Discover how generosity and purpose connect! This workshop explores how stewardship, mission projects, and the goals of Presbyterian Women come together to make a lasting impact—locally and beyond. (This is a good workshop for Moderators and Treasurers of local PW to explore giving of your local group).
