Moderator's Message
Since the beginning of the year the Central Florida Presbyterian Women have been meeting and celebrating in the life of the church and beyond. We met through Zoom meetings as well as in person.
Our Annual Gathering was celebrated on February 7th at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church in Orlando Florida; where around 97 participants attended in addition to volunteers, workshop leaders and our National PW Moderator, Patricia “Pam” Snyder as the main speaker. We also installed our new officiers who will serve for a period of two years.
To those who attended, thank you for your participation; and to those who could not attend, we invite you to do so in 2027. This is a great opportunity to create new friendships, participate in the great workshops and see the many things Presbyterian Women can accomplish when we gather.
March came and with it Spring arrived in Central Florida. It is also the month that the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70) was celebrated at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Presbyterian Women from all the Synods are selected to participate as Commissioners. This year I was able to attend as a Latino/Hispanic PW. This year as well as in 2026, I prepared a workshop presentation for the Annual Gathering. If you or your group are interested in knowing a little more about this topic, please extend an invitation and I will be more than happy to come and share.
I am also very happy to announce that Central Florida Presbyterian Women established a scholarship for women who wish to attend any women-related conferences and or Seminary classes!
