Dear Sisters in Christ,
As you begin to organize your summer plans, we hope you will plan on attending the 2024-2025 PW/Horizons Annual Bible Study “Introduction” event on Saturday, August 3rd at Pineda Presbyterian Church, Palm Shores.
By now, many of you have received your copy of the 2024-2025 Bible Study entitled, Let Justice Roll Down: God’s Call to Care for Neighbors and All Creation, by Patricia K. Tull. As I traveled around Central Florida visiting so many of you, I have been deeply grateful for your thoughts and feedback regarding our new Bible study. The number one thoughtful question heard was “How do we make this year’s Bible study applicable to the ladies in our home circles?” My answer is to make the Bible study your own through prayer and by embracing the beautiful scriptures of the lessons that come from the Word of God. Perhaps you can look at the discussion questions and ask if there are possible actions that your circle may feel called by God to engage in, such as field trips to visit local farmers and learning more about the Presbyterian Hunger Program. Circles can use their gifts to create meaningful activities with children and youth that include caring for nature as part of God’s love for us and all that God has created.
As we know, Bible study has been celebrated together by Presbyterian Women for more than 100 years. With our past study – Sacred Encounters – The Power and Presence of Jesus Christ in Luke-Acts, with our new study– Let Justice Roll Down: God’s Call to Care for Neighbors and All Creation, and finally with our future study coming in 2025-2026 - Finding Resilience, Joy, and Identity in Jesus Christ.
The PW/Horizons Bible studies are created in a spirit of discernment, prayer, and hope. Part of the PW Purpose is to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study. Our faith grows, as we listen to the Word of God and to each other.
The Coordinating Team of your Central Florida PW invites you to come to Pineda Presbyterian Church on August 3, to hear some of the ways your circles can approach this thought -provoking Bible study. Being together for fellowship over a light breakfast and lunch, gathering for prayer, and sharing in an interactive, 1-hour introduction of this year’s study will be a beautiful way to glorify God and help create unity while strengthening our connection to one another. I hope you will register to attend our Central Florida PW Annual Bible Study “Introduction” and lunch event. (The registration information is listed below.) We will have fun being together while discussing easy ways to make this year’s Bible Study speak to our hearts.
I give thanks to God for each of you.
Blessings and love,
