Advent and Christmas...A Season of Joy! - Moderator's Message
Advent and Christmas Blessings to All! As we welcome the first Sunday of Advent on December 1st, we turn our eyes to Bethlehem and celebrate the wondrous gift of Jesus Christ, our Savior. Like you, I wait with joyful anticipation for all that the beauty of this season unfolds. I am also deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside you, and to watch the many ways you bring light to this world.
It is evident that the Spirit of God is at work in the lives of Presbyterian Women! Amidst all your caring fellowship, impactful mission initiatives and commitment to outreach, family, friends, and minisgtry; you put "joy" into action. Thank you for the wonderful energy and timne you give to the life of our congregations around Central Florida and moreover...to the kingdom work of Christ. As we prepare to celebrate the birth of Christ, may we continue to be encouraged by His presence in this world and in our lives, as we encourage one another and build each other up.
We are also aware that Christmas can be a challenging time for all who are grieving for loved ones and dealing with illnesses. May we continue to reach out to those who are broken, and suffering as we lift them up in prayer each day.
May we experience the sacred beauty of Advent and Christmas Anew with the Greatest Gift of all..."Jesus." Thank you for the privilege of allowing me to serve as Moderator, and for the joy I feel as part of Presbyterian Women.
